It seems just about every celebrity has their own alcohol brand today – some of them are whiskeys, some of them are vodkas, a lot of them are tequilas – some of them are established, some of them have already failed, some of them are thriving – some of them are A-list…you get the point, there’s a ton and we tried to narrow down this list to only the most popular ones.
#1 Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt – Miraval Rosé

Even though they're no longer together, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie co-own Château Miraval, a château and vineyard located in a small village in the south of France. In 2008, Brad and Angelina leased the property for three years with the option to buy it, which they did for about $67 million, and hosted their wedding their six years later.
Château Miraval's top-selling product is its Miraval Rosé, which was launched in 2012, and they plan on releasing a new rosé called ‘Studio by Miraval’.
#2 Conor McGregor – Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor launched Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey in September 2018 and apparently he has plans to make it the best selling Irish Whiskey in the United States, a position that is currently held by Jameson Whiskey. Proper No. Twelve was originally launched in Ireland and the U.S. and has quickly expanded to Australia. He was quick to take credit for U.S. Whiskey sales surpassing a billion dollars for the first time and for the slowing of Jameson's growth rate.
Was there ever any doubt I’d turn Whiskey to a Billi?
I turned “human cock fighting” to 4.2.
I’m gonna toast on this fine Thursday this amazing news.
Sláinte to the only true Irish Whiskey we have left, @ProperWhiskey!
Irish owned forever.
Thank you all.
It has been my pleasure. https://t.co/E9RGpRxAC5— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) April 25, 2019
#3 Justin Timberlake – Sauza 901
In 2009, Justin Timberlake partnered with Sauza Liquors, the brand owned by Beam, to launch Sauza 901 and in 2012 took home a gold medal from the esteemed San Francisco World Spirits Competition. His triple-distilled, 80-proof agave-based tequila sells at retail for a price of $30. Apparently, the 901 in the title references the telephone area code for Memphis, TN, Justin’s home town.
#4 George Clooney – Casamigos Tequila
George Clooney co-founded Casamigos in 2013 and it was acquired by alcohol conglomerate Diageo in 2017 for up to $1 billion, of which he is set to receive up to $233 million after taxes. "It immediately took off," says George Clooney's co-founder Rande Gerber.
#5 P. Diddy – Ciroc (Vodka)
One of the first to do it, P. Diddy, has one of the most established alcohol brands for a celebrity. Ciroc was introduced in 2003 and ever since 2007 all marketing and promotion has been handled by Sean "P. Diddy" Combs in an "equal-share-venture" with brand profits being split evenly between promotional partner P. Diddy and manufacturing partner and alcohol conglomerate Diageo.
#6 Matthew McConaughey – Wild Turkey Bourbon
In 2016, Matthew McConaughey was appointed creative director of Wild Turkey Bourbon for a whopping $4 million dollars. Together, they launched a new product called Longbranch, which is made using eight-year-old bourbon that goes through a proprietary double filtration process. “Longbranch, in its simplest form, is an extended hand, inviting a friend into your family,” McConaughey said in a statement.
#7 Drake – Virginia Black Whiskey
Drake raps on his More Life track Gyalchester:
"Virginia Black
I could go make enough money off that and not even rap
What's that? Facts?"
In 2016 Drake launched Virginia Black, a luxury whiskey that looks like a high-end champagne, along with ex-financier Brent Hocking and drinks firm Promixo Spirits. According to CEO and co-founder Brent Hocking, Virginia Black broke the record for largest first-day sales in Ontario and sold 30,000 cases globally in its first year of doing business and expected to double sales in 2017. We're not sure if they quite hit their numbers in 2017 but Hocking said they sold about 60,000 bottles in the last 15 months. Hocking is not new to this business, previously founding DeLeón Tequila and selling it to Diageo and Sean 'Diddy' Combs for an undisclosed amount in 2013.
In 2018, Drake and Hocking announced plans to take Virginia Black Whiskey public and plan on raising $30 million in their initial public offering (IPO) initially set for end of 1st quarter 2019 but now set for 3rd quarter 2019, according to their listing. The partners say the stock offering is more about raising awareness of the brand than cash. Investors must spend a minimum of $100 to participate and Drake said this is a way for him to give back to his fans and give them a chance to invest in his company and turn it into something special together.
#8 John Legend – LVE Wines
#9 David Beckham – Haig Club
#10 Channing Tatum – Born and Bred (American Craft Vodka)
#11 Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson – Mana Tequila
After hearing rumors in 2018 that he had backed out of the deal and everything had completely fallen through, The Rock is back on Instagram teasing the release of his long-promoted Tequila brand, Mana. There is still no official release date so there are no sales or tastings to based this off of but we're always expecting big things when it comes from The Rock so we'll keep an eye out for Mana in the coming months and see how it turns out.
#12 Ryan Reynolds – Aviation Gin
In 2018, Ryan Reynolds announced that he had purchased a stake in craft distiller Aviation Gin. He declared that Aviation Gin is simple the best gin he has ever had and ever since it had it he's been trying to infiltrate the company. Aviation Gin, which was founded in 2006 and maintains a small market share of the gin market, was acquired in 2016 by alcohol giant Davos Brands.
Missing Crystal Head Vodka, by Dan Aykroyd.
